Agnes' visit represents the "first fruit" of the mission. Well done Agnes!
Here's a video on Agnes' arrival at Cebu Airport and subsequently at the Monastery. Agnes plans to join as Aspirant by end of 2024. More ladies will also be visiting the Monastery in the coming months.

Agatha arrived on 13 Dec at the Cebu Monastery for a 4-day Observation visit. The visit will be participated by two other ladies, Amanda and Belinda, all from Malaysia. This is the 3rd batch of visitors to the Monastery following similar visits made by Agnes and Toviya in Oct/Nov. Well done Agatha and all!

Belinda arrived in Cebu on 13 Dec for a 4-day observation visit to the Redemptoristine Monastery. A Malaysian, but residing in Singapore, Belinda was joined by two other Malaysians, Agatha and Amanda, who came in also on the same day. Well done Belinda and all!

We had the great honour of coming across the Dendrobium Orchid named after His Holiness, Pope Francis, commemorating his visit to Singapore on 12 September.

Nancy (second from left) invited the Sisters to her house and lunch on 13 September to thank them for their prayers and Mass Offerings for abatement of her Cancer. She was one of the donors who helped in funding the restoration of the Monastery's roof destroyed by Typhoon Odette in Dec 2021.

On 13 September, we attended Mass at SS. Peter & Paul church and paid respects to Fr. Bill Heng, C.Ss.R., and Br. Bernard Heaney, C.Ss.R., at their niches at the church's columbarium.

We made 3 standees (2 of which are shown above), to explain the Redemptoristine Order, and these attracted much discussions at the booth at Novena Church foyer after each Mass and Novena Devotion break. There were several ladies who registered for further follow-up contact.

We held 2 talks in the evenings of 17 and 18 September at Ven Francis Xavier's Room, Church of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. Both talks were attended by about 25 people, and several ladies, discerning the call of God, expressed very keen interest in visitng our Monastery in Cebu.

The Moon and Cross at the Church of Our Mother of Perpetual Help seen on the early morning of the Sisters' departure from Ipoh on 19 September inspired this poem:
"We left early on the morning when the Moon shone bright and the Cross was light. We thought of all the people we've so far met and seen - they are happy in knowing the Redemptoristines."
